My end of term reflection.

WALT: evaluate our learning honestly

What is an effective learner? Someone who does there work independently and makes sense of their time.


What were the highlights for this term? GH Tennis because I could hardly even hit a brick with a racquet. But now I can pretty much do all of the tricks.


What were your greatest challenges this term? Cross Country because I could hardly run even half the way.


How are you going towards acting with integrity? I really do not have anything to improve on in my integrity. I show integrity by 2 things 1st is that if someone is hurt I will go and help.
2nd if there is pens and stuff on the floor i will go ether put it away or give it to them.

How could you improve? Nothing really except for that I want to become self agency.


What are your goals in our learner disposition wall? Nothing because I have pretty much do all of the things.  Where to next? Self Directed because I am ready to try them and I do most of them already.

Grass Hopper Tennis.



WALT: improve our small ball skills like catching, throwing, and hitting.


Description: We have been participating in a tennis programme with Big John (John Salisbury) from Tennis Manawatu. He has taught us some tennis skills that help with controlling and hitting the ball
Why? To reflect on how we are going with the tennis skills we have learnt. We will share this during our Student Led Conference.
When? Week 8

Evaluation:
  1. What are you most proud of and why? That I can do most of the things because some people can only do one or two.


  1. What challenged you the most and Why? Doing the temple because I always hit it to the side.

  1. Next time, what is a goal you can work towards? Next time/ Next year I want to get better at the temple.

Self assessment: I think that I did well but next time I think that I could do better at the Temple and at Patting the Dog. 

Feed Back:I think  that you could do a better job at slicing the cheese because you keep losing the ball#calais

Science Sample

WALT: show our understanding of how energy works.


DESCRIPTION: We have been learning about energy. To share our learning, we have made a video to explain how energy works.I leant that if you rush your video is not very good and then you have to restart. The purpose is to show what we have learnt in science the teachers chose for us to make a video.


Evaluation: I think I did well but next time I will make it shorter and I will try to make more effort and time into it.

Feedback/feedforward: I think you did a great job of showing what the three states of matter actually are. Rosalind:)

Disruption: I think that i did well but next time I should make it a bit longer and I would make a bit more description so I give myself a 8/10.What? We are publishing a piece of writing.

Why does hot air rise and cold air fall?
Well its because hot air is lighter than cold air so the hot air goes up then gets cold and comes down hot air is on the ground then comes to clouds then turns warm air then gets to space then turns to cold air then comes down to clouds and turns warm again then comes back to the ground and turns to hot air then goes over again and again.
so I think that the reason is that hot air is like steel and up is like a magnet so cold air is heavy!

Integrity Sample!

WALT: Show Integrity

Why? To showcase the Tuakana/Teina that we foster at Russell Street School and our understanding of this terms value of Integrity. We will share this during our Student Led Conference.

When? Week 7

Who? The World

Task: We are making a short movie that shows what Integrity looks like with our little buddy.

Description: Troy and Chris shared with us some movies that demonstrate people showing Integrity when it looked like they were not going to show it. Our goal was to create our own movies that showed Integrity at school.




Evaluation:I think I did well but next time I could make a bit more explanation.
I should give my self a 7/10 because I did do very well but I could add a bit more explanation!



Feedback/feedforward:
I think you did a great job on your Integrity movie. I agree with you, you could of use more information into it but that is all I got to say. Apart from that it is fine.
